Welcome to the Telfair Alternative Preparation School (TAPS).  The Telfair Alternative Preparation School is dedicated to the development of every individual student.  The faculty believes that all students have the right to know and understand their strengths and limitations so they may develop successful goals in life, and help turn their potentialities in realities.  The staff believes that educated citizens are essential in a democratic society and has concluded that there is a need for an alternative approach to the traditional educational programs.  We also believe that specific life skills such as kindness, praise, cooperation, and respect of others, as well as oneself, may be best taught by example.
